Most popular candidate

Posted By on Fri, Sep 22, 2006 at 8:21 PM

Anybody else see Warwick and David Sanders on "Unconventional Wisdom" on AETN? I thought it was very interesting. Wally Hall, the sports editor, was good. He is practiced at TV, remember, from his own show.

The show edged into something I'd happen to have discussed with a pollster briefly earlier in the day, the question of whether TV style "q ratings" -- or viewer likeability ratings -- had ever been applied systematically in political contests. If so, did the more likeable candidate in a q study ever lose?. I've had a growing feeling that likeability -- as opposed to the growing welter of largely indistinguiishable postions -- might decide the race for governor. If it does, then who?
