Hypocrite of the day

Posted By on Wed, Sep 27, 2006 at 4:29 PM

That would be wacky Republican Jim Holt, or one of his advisers. Yesterday they were unhappy because the Democratic candidate for lt. gov., Bill Halter, was spending a lot of money on polling. Jim Holt doesn't need any public opinion polling, even if he could afford it, the Holt campaign said.

And what does the Holt campaign do today? It cited a public opinion poll to show how in touch Holt is with the citizenry on punishing the illegal hordes streaming across our borders in search of the American dream. Halter's response: He's just as categorically unforgiving of people who want to live in America and he also calls Holt a hypocrite. He's at least half-right on the day.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson apparently felt the burn from KARK's exclusive Tuesday night on his plans to cut state support of War Memorial Stadium in half beginning July 1, 2018. He has a so-far secret plan to make the stadium self-sustaining. We bet that doesn't include state support.
