Little Rock City Manager Bruce Moore tells the Arkansas Times that he will advise against moving forward with a proposal to add a dome to City Hall.

"The City Hall Dome was just one of the projects that we were thinking about as we prepare for the 100th Anniversary of City Hall," Moore said in an e-mail. "After reviewing more of the history and the potential cost, I will not be recommending that we move forward with pursuing the project. However, the initial plan involved only pursuing private sector and grant funds."

Some civic leaders suggested raising $500,000 to re-install a dome on the 1908 building. The original dome was removed in the middle of the 20th century.
