Mayberry values

Last night's debate between U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder and his Republican challenger, Andy Mayberry, had entertainment value, at least.

Mayberry delivered where expected, steering the conversation toward abortion, gay marriage, and back to abortion again. Then he chasitized Snyder's wife, Betsy Singleton, for preaching tolerance in the Methodist church where she is minister, leading to the best line of the political season so far.

"You don’t get very far in Arkansas politics picking on a man’s wife," Snyder responded.

Sounds like something Andy Griffith would say ....

Reynolds Campus of the Arkansas Sheriff’s Youth Ranches (The Ranch) located near Fort Smith was vandalized overnight Thursday.  Items stolen during the break-in included all of the children’s saddles, food, tools and supplies from The Ranch’s carpentry shop and all equipment from its auto shop.  An investigation is underway with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
