Posted By on Fri, Oct 27, 2006 at 12:32 PM

Gov. Mike Huckabee today appointed North Little Rock attorney Sam Hilburn, 64, to the Universtiy of Arkansas System board of trustees. He fills the seat vacated yesterday by Craig Campbell, who Huckabee named to the Game & Fish Commission.

Hilburn is a senior partner with Hilburn, Calhoon, Harper, Pruniski & Calhoun, Ltd. His term begins immediately and runs through March 1, 2014.

Earlier this month, Hilburn represented independent gubernatorial candidate Rod Bryan, who sued for access to the third debate in that race, which was held at the Clinton Presidential Center.
