Some generous ones will be in town today and tomorrow.

The Slate 60 conference begins tonight at the Clinton Library, sponsored by the on-line magazine, the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton School for Public Service. It honors the country’s top 60 philanthropists. Donald Graham, the publisher of the Washington Post, will introduce NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg as tonight’s speakers. Attendees include Ted Turner, Bill Gates Sr., Steve Case and lots of big names in Arkansas philanthropy. Former president Clinton will speak at noon Monday. Sorry, this is an invitation-only event.
