Gene Lyons, call your agent

This is a book, maybe a movie, too. Call it "The Last King of Brinkley."

I'm referring to the single best story in today's Democrat-Gazette and that's the business page piece on the ongoing bankruptcy saga of former sheriff and congressman Tommy Robinson. He mentioned that he's soon going to be making $10,000 to $12,000 a month lobbying for the new president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Tis a long way from Jacksonville.

Could somebody please, add up in one place how much money TR has cost lenders and investors in his failed farm, duck hunting club, farm implement dealership and liquor store. Never mind the hot checks he wrote in Congress.
