Our team in D.C.

Posted By on Wed, Dec 6, 2006 at 5:46 AM

Just what, exactly, has the five-person Arkansas office in D.C. accomplished, except provide an inside-the-Beltway suite of offices for Gov. Mike Huckabee's political man Jason Brady, who's paid almost $100,000 a year and whose office runs up a total $300,000 annual tab on taxpayers? Whatever it is, it's still doing it, but Brady is doing his vital work from LR at the same rate of pay and he's as inaccessible as ever, according to this Stephens Media account.

Some expect Brady to make the leap to Huckabee's presidential exploratory operation when the Huckster's term ends and that transition would certainly be more readily accomplished in Arkansas than D.C.. Maybe the Stephens bureau could make a few strategic FOI requests to the D.C. office to shed some light on office work. Or will it all be claimed as "gubernatorial working papers."
