Gov. Mike Huckabee's party is on

Posted By on Sat, Dec 16, 2006 at 8:07 PM

Sorry. A typically genial Huckabee press secretary (I presume Alice Stewart, but I"m only going by a description) denied our photographer access to the fund-raising gala tonight. Perhaps an unauthorized photo will filter through eventually.

Meanwhile, the early report indicates a modest fund-raising effort for Gov. Mike Huckabee by presidential campaign standards (if the figure quoted is final, less than Bill Clinton raised at his kickoff 15 years ago when a million dollars was really worth something). But every half-mil helps all the same. On to New Hampshire. On to Iowa. On to South Carolina.

Comments from partygoers are, of course, welcome here. Capitol Offense playlist? Refreshments? Major sponsors?
