Wingnut cracks

Detailed coverage from NY Times: Sen. Sam Brownback has removed his hold on the nomination of a federal judge for the offense of attending the same-sex commitment ceremony of the daughter of her 26-year neighbor. The nominee also did the terrible thing of saying some nice words at her friend and neighbor's ceremony. Brownback apparently couldn't stand the mainstream heat for his intolerance.

Brownback and Gov. Mike Huckabee, you may have read, are considered front-runners for the Republican religious bloc after the demise of Frist, Allen, etc. Some well-observed silence on this issue would seem to be the best course for the Arkansas presidential contender.
