Nazi reference II

Posted By on Tue, Dec 26, 2006 at 2:23 PM

As promised a couple of days ago, here's a link to the comment by Gov. Mike Huckabee in which he draws a parallel between his efforts as governor and that of Oskar Schindler, the German who saved Jews from Nazi death camps. Huckabee earlier used a concentration camp reference relative to his weight loss. Clever and funny? Or are Nazi parallels a comparison too far? You decide.

The KUAR link includes an MP3 file with two minutes of Huckabee during an appearance on "Ask the Governor" on AETN to provide the full context for this:

"The tough part of leaving is you kind of feel like Oskar Schindler at the end of [Schindler's List], you know, 'I could have done more, why didn't I get this done?' But that's part of, I think, any person who comes to this point of conclusion."
