Northwest report

Posted By on Sun, Jan 21, 2007 at 6:51 AM

A couple of items of interest from the Morning News today:

1) A lengthy look at Wal-Mart's new policy of shifting employee schedules to better meet shoppers' demands. Pros and cons aplenty and there's already an indication that in-house employees will have a lot to see on the Morning News' good comments feature.

2) Building permits in 2006 dropped 40 percent from 2005's record pace. Still plenty going on, of course.
