Maria Haley, the new director of the Arkansas Department of Economic Development, has just named a deputy director.

She's Becky Thompson, an Arkansas native and former AIDC staffer who has recently been working for the Mississippi Development Authority as director of global business in Jackson. Mississippi, you might have heard, has had some development success stories of late.
