Personal support

Posted By on Fri, Mar 2, 2007 at 9:47 AM

You might have read this morning about a news conference yesterday on personnel changes at the Arkansas Cancer Research Center and the ongoing drive for money to expand the UAMS facility. A corrective to the daily newspaper account: That was a $1 million personal gift from former Alltel CEO Joe Ford and his wife, Jo Ellen, a long-time volunteeer in UAMS causes, not a corporate gift as the newspaper account indicated. Similar commitments, personal or corporate, are welcome, of course, as UAMS pushes toward a $150 million goal for the campus.
