Political purge

Posted By on Sat, Mar 3, 2007 at 6:43 AM

Now the White House admits that it purged a number of U.S. attorneys to get new people who'd better push his political agenda. The Bud Cummins ouster remains sort of a separate issue in this Washington Post account. It is not hard to conclude, however, that if ideological purity and devotion to the partisan agenda was desired, Karl Rove hatchetman Tim Griffin was ideally suited for the Bush mission in Little Rock. Perhaps Griffin would like to tell us if he discussed immigration policy, firearms and such with the lying Alberto Gonzales before taking this job. (Isn't lying under oath something Republicans once abhorred?) That number, Mr. U.S. attorney: 375-2985.
