Presidential polling

Posted By on Fri, Mar 23, 2007 at 4:32 PM

Here's a batch of primary-based presidential polling. In four states tested for Republican preferences -- Texas, Iowa, New Hampshire and Arkansas -- Mike Huckabee makes more than a scratch only in Arkansas, where he leads the ticket with 40 percent of the vote, then McCain at 21 and Giuliani at 12.

And, while searching the invaluable Technorati for presidential blogging, I see the Club for Growth continues to poke at Huckabee, this time over public facilities named in his honor. Also, Huckabee may be gaining some ground with county Republican chairs in Iowa.

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
