Wrong magazine for Wal-Mart

Posted By on Thu, Mar 29, 2007 at 12:04 PM

I'd mentioned earlier I expected a big piece in Sunday's NY Times magazine this weekend on the Wal-Mart PR effort. I misread my e-mail alert. It's actually a big piece in the New Yorker and it's already on-line.

By the way: the article begins with a pretty good recitation of the many reasons Wal-Mart needs some PR.

  • Cats and dogs

I've always been leery of people who dislike animals. To my wife and me, a house without dog hair in the corners and a cat perched on the windowsill is as barren as a highway rest stop. We're down to three dogs and two cats, the smallest menagerie we've had for years.
