One of our Blog readers has already explained, in calm terms, why this is such a bad idea. Nonetheless, Mike Huckabee appeals to the right-wing peanut gallery with the stock NRA line that a world where everyone is packing would be a safer place. Interview with KUAR:

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee says this week's massacre at a Virginia college campus might have been prevented had students and faculty been allowed to carry concealed handguns on campus.

In an interview with FM 89's Ron Breeding from the campaign trail in New Hampshire, Huckabee said "If somebody had been able to stop the shooter before he was able to kill that many people, there may not have been that many."

Or maybe poorly trained people loosing a hail of fire might have claimed more lives.
