Paying the bills

Posted By on Mon, Apr 23, 2007 at 5:31 PM

With a $200,000 debt (to himself) still hanging from his expensive campaign, Attorney General Dustin McDaniel will use seven former attorneys general to headline a May 4 fund-raiser at the Military Museum. Any amount up to $2,000 is welcome, naturally, but the asking price is $135. Steve Clark is among those who'll be making an appearance. A kewpie doll to the first person who can name the other six who'll be on hand. (One is sending a relative to represent him.)

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
