Building Bridges

Posted By on Thu, May 3, 2007 at 3:48 PM

Alice Walton made a rare public appearance today in Bentonville at a dedication for the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (to her mother) now under construction. She spoke for about 10 minutes and about her love for the family land on which the museum is being built. It won't open until 2009.

Leslie Newell Peacock was on hand. Look in the weeks ahead for her article about the process of acquiring treasures for such a museum and details about the project.
