Huckabee's man in Congress -- UPDATE

Posted By on Fri, Jun 8, 2007 at 8:44 AM

Mike Huckabee's congressional chair, Rep. Don Young, flips the bird to a reporter trying to ask him about the report that he secretly funneled $10 million to a project for a Florida developer who'd raised money for him. Old news, he says. It's kind of like Huckabee post-debate. What business does the press have asking questions he doesn't want to answer?

UPDATE: And since we're talking about Republicans behaving badly, this is a good place to link CNN's fine video on the Alabama Republican senator who punched a colleague for calling him an SOB.

AHA Vice President Jeremy Fisher said the first licenses to grow experimental plots of hemp in the state should be issued by the Arkansas State Plant Board next spring.
  • Cats and dogs

I've always been leery of people who dislike animals. To my wife and me, a house without dog hair in the corners and a cat perched on the windowsill is as barren as a highway rest stop. We're down to three dogs and two cats, the smallest menagerie we've had for years.
