Republican is voctirious

Posted By on Sat, Jun 16, 2007 at 4:18 PM

I don't have a full report because, after greeting contestants in today's Central Arkansas adult spelling bee at Pulaski Heights Christian Church, I took off to run some errands with plans to arrive back for climactic rounds. Too late. It was over. But I was able to determine that state Rep. Dan Greenberg of Little Rock beat 22 other contestants for the $100 first prize. Judge Doug Smith tells me Greenberg spelled a tongue-twister as his final word, though the penultimate word was fajita.

Fun event.

Next year, the plans are to make it a preliminary for a national adult spelling bee whose finals were today.
