Huckabee breakout?

Posted By on Wed, Jun 20, 2007 at 10:48 AM

Mike Huckabee fans are over the moon about a new Mason-Dixon poll in South Carolina that puts him in a statistical dead heat among Republican primary voters with John McCain. OK, Huck only registers 5 percent (vs. 7 for McCain ) -- but still.

There is the small problem of Fred Thompson at 25, Rudy Giuliani at 21 and Mitt Romney at 11.

PS: Huck is at 2 percent nationally in Rasmussen.
