A dog's life

Being dog lovers at the Arkansas Blog, we're happy to pass along a new amenity for pooches. Jacksonville has joined Little Rock, North Little Rock, Maumelle and other Arkansas cities with a dog park. It opens at 6 p.m. today with an "unleashing of the dogs" in the new fenced, leash-off park in Dupree Park.

Ruff.

Sadly, Fifi, our French bulldog, nearly croaked on her one visit to the LR dog park on a hot day. She overtaxed herself trying to sprint away from the other dogs. She's a people- and couch-dog mostly. A cheese-eating surrender monkey, if you will.
