Crime and football

The New York Times today features a Texarkana, Texas rape case. The suspect is now a star football player at Oklahoma State, linebacker Chris Collins. The victim -- 12 at the time -- now lives in North Arkansas and will be the chief witness. Race and a delay in trying the case, dating to May 2004, are among the factors of interest.
