Election thieves

Many blog readers saw and commented on the PBS show NOW Friday night on Republican vote suppression activities. That's a timely hook back to this interview with British journalist Greg Palast, who says the Rove administration has operatives in place throughout the Justice Department to continue a systematic effort to depress minority voting by dubious vote fraud investigations. Tim Griffin, the king of caging and U.S. attorney in Little Rock until Sen. Mark Pryor put a stop to it, isn't treated kindly.

    One of the booths at this week's Ark-La-Tex Medical Cannabis Expo was hosted by the Arkansas Hemp Association, a trade group founded to promote and expand non-intoxicating industrial hemp as an agricultural crop in the state. AHA Vice President Jeremy Fisher said the first licenses to grow experimental plots of hemp in the state should be issued by the Arkansas State Plant Board next spring.
