School board tonight

Posted By on Thu, Aug 23, 2007 at 1:58 PM

I did get that working draft of a contract up for discussion tonight before the Little Rock School Board for interim superintendent Linda Watson. Lawyers warn that it's a document mostly pegged to the document that covered outgoing Supt. Roy Brooks and could change in many respects. As now written, it provides for $198,000 pay, a $916 monthly car allowance, a $25,000 annuity payment, health coverage, an expense account and promise of a job as associate superintendent if someone else ultimately is hired as permanent superintendent. But, again, that these terms appear in the document does not necessarily mean those are the terms that will be voted on.
