Just happened on a replay of a C-SPAN-covered panel discussion of media coverage of the civil rights movement, with a great amount of attention paid to Little Rock. Interesting. Gene Roberts, one of the author’s of “The Race Beat,” and Dorothy Gilliam, former Washington Post columnist, are the featured speakers. I’m having a hard-time linking to the video. Maybe you can go to the search page and click the video from there.

PS — Gene Roberts will be at the Clinton School Sept. 12 as part of a discussion and display of AP archive photos for the 50th.
