Lust in Mike Huckabee's heart -- UPDATE

Posted By on Mon, Aug 27, 2007 at 9:41 AM

Strange bedfellows: The Arkansas Times and the Club for Growth. I should add that the Club for Growth's staunch opposition to Mike Huckabee speaks well for his politics.

And speaking of The Huckster, he talked about Keith Richards and Fred Thompson at a Virginia fund-raiser thrown by former Arkansas resident James Klote. Huck said he'd have the Stones at his inaugural parties.

UPDATE: Hat tip to Prouster, who is very proud of a Huck quip, to which I've already responded in the comments. On further, more mature reflection, however, I wonder if this is a Jimmy Carter lust-in-my-heart moment for our favorite-son Baptist preacher and moral exemplar. Huckabee seems to be slavering over the prospect of seeing a 22-year-old girl (younger than his own daughter) with her shirt off.

From U.S. News, an item on various politicians' reaction to the photograph of Vladimir Putin fishing shirtless:

GOP presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee tells us candidly: "While I am impressed with the fact he can get out and go fishing, the shirtless photo doesn't do anything for me. Now, if it was a picture of Scarlett Johansson, that would be another story."
