A victory for Crystal Bridges

Posted By on Tue, Sep 11, 2007 at 6:32 AM

A judge in Nashville yesterday rejected a deal that would have put a Georgia O'Keeffe painting now owned by Fisk University in a Santa Fe museum. This keeps the path open for a $30 million deal that would have the Walton-backed Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville share ownership of this and other work in the Fisk collection.

The chief work at issue is this painting, Radiator Building -- Night, New York.

A trial is scheduled Sept. 18 on a lawsuit by the O'Keeffee Museum in New Mexico over a collection given to the Nashville college.
