Did Petraeus betray us?

Posted By on Tue, Sep 11, 2007 at 12:31 PM

National Republicans, the state Republican Party and, of course, quiptacular Mike Huckabee couldn't wait to issue press releases demanding apologies from every Democrat down to dogcatcher for MoveOn.org ads in advance of the Petraeus testimony. The ads questioned whether he'd betray the American people by giving testimony shaped by the faith-based White House decider, rather than facts on the ground.

It was despicable, in the view of The Huckster, to question a military man. He called it "an attack on the entire military."

Perhaps The Huckster should try slinging some of that B.S. at the Pentagon, where many opinions contrary to the general's apparently exist.

Facts don't matter much to The Huckster, but others of you might be interested in MoveOn's support for its ad about Petraeus.

ALSO: This article suggests Petraeus harbors presidential ambitions.
