A case of first impression -- UPDATE

Posted By on Tue, Oct 9, 2007 at 5:56 AM

John Brummett acknowledges Mike Huckabee's surprising strides in an underfunded race for president. And irony in same.

UPDATE: A number of readers have called to our attention the fact that the first impression may have begun wearing off in some quarters, such as Stephen Colbert's show, where Huckabee has enjoyed favorable attention. Colbert skewered him last night as a hypocrite for defending Rush Limbaugh's anti-vet comments while attacking Hillary Clinton for not sufficiently denouncing the General Betrayus ads. Hucksterism unmasked once again.
