Huck's bucks -- UPDATE

Posted By on Mon, Oct 15, 2007 at 3:56 PM

Mike Huckabee's quarterly financial report is at last on-line. He rasied just over $1 million in the third quarter, as has been widely predicted, and had more than $600,000 still on hand when the report was filed. Rudy Giuliani raised 13 times as much, if I recall correctly, to give one comparison. It's slow going, but this link will take you to a list of contributors.

Son John Mark, daughter Sarah and daughter-in-law Lauren are listed as recipients of payroll checks.

UPDATE: Looks like Huckabee raised less than $125,000 in Arkansas during the quarter. The final crunching won't be available until tomorrow, but Hillary Clinton raised $650,000 in Arkansas on a fund-raising swing in the state during the quarter, which puts her cumulatively around $800,000 in the state versus less than $700,000 for the former governor.

Hillary Clinton's campaign for president illustrates again the double standard applied to women. Some writers get it. They even find the supposedly unlikable Clinton inspiring.
