Sound familiar?

The Iconoclast evaluates Fayetteville and Washington County, where the ever elastic sales tax has stopped flexing. In combination with special deals for fat cats, a need for more jail space, etc., times are difficult, even in boomtown NWA. Sounds a lot like Pulaski County, I think you'll agree, though we're at least not subsidizing an airport for corporate jets.

  • City ethics update; campaign limit was supposed to help the little guy

Some more history on the Little Rock city ordinance that limits candidates for mayor and City Board to raising campaign funds to five months before the November 2018 election. It raises questions not only about Warwick Sabin's fund-raising tactics, but also Mayor Mark Stodola's carryover money.
