Woodpecker extinct UPDATE

Posted By on Wed, Nov 14, 2007 at 10:02 AM

Easy bird lovers. The headline is a reference to breaking news from the Northeast Arkansas Business Today, which is providing live coverage of ASU mascot deliberations. The ivory billed woodpecker is no longer in contention.

UPDATE: Business Today is on this story like white on rice (oops, bad typo in original post), like ugly on an ape, like the dew covers Dixie. Here are the 12 finalists. Not a gorilla, or a skeeter or a madtom among them. The guv's fave, Redwolves, made the cut.
