Police beat

A man was shot on a Wal-Mart parking lot in SWLR early this morning during a robbery. Police release on the jump. Fox 16 has the video.

POLICE NEWS RELEASE

This is the video from the robbery at the Wal-Mart on Baseline. This morning at 2:34 am Randy Hudson walked to his truck from the Wal-Mart Store at 8801 Baseline Road . He entered his truck and while he was preparing to leave a B/M climbed in the passenger side and pulled a gun on Mr. Hudson to rob him. The robber wanted Mr. Hudson to drive him to an ATM. Mr. Hudson told the robber he did not have an ATM card and the robber took the money Mr. Hudson had on him. The robber then shot Mr. Hudson in the neck paralyzing him from the neck down. The robber then fled the vehicle. The vehicle was in drive and it went through a fence on the east side of the parking lot where it struck an object and caught on fire. Mr. Hudson could not escape the vehicle due to his injuries and was burned. Patrol officers who were on a call near by heard the crash and observed the fire. They came to Mr. Hudson’s rescue. The suspects were in a dark sedan that can be seen on the video. The robber is described as a B/M in his 20’s. The second suspect remained in the suspect vehicle and both left the lot in the dark sedan. One witness described the dark sedan as possibly a Honda Accord or Toyota . Anyone have information about this incident are asked to call the Robbery Detectives at 371-4660. The video is in QuickTime.
