That gas bonanza

Legislators yesterday saw evidence of environmental damage caused by gas exploration of the Fayetteville shale. The governor's top environmental official says she's concerned, but this account leaves me scratching my head. DEQ Director Teresa Marks said she doesn't have adequate staff to fully monitor the waste pits already dug by the gas companies, but she also said she's not ready to say she needs more staff. She has more faith in the gas industry than I do.
