I snooze, I lose

I avoided Hog topics yesterday. Big mistake. Stephens Media reports here -- and presumably everybody else is talking, too -- about consideration of Clemson's Tommy Bowden as the next football coach at Fayetteville. There appear to be some snags. I read that between the lines as objections by some big shots to a choice that seems to come -- as it should -- from new athletic director Jeff Long. We went down that road once before -- and the big shots prevailed -- but key personnel is much different today, from the UA Board of Trustees on down.

Tommy Tuberville? Who he? Didn't several news outlets report definitively last week that he was The Man?

Here's coverage in The State, the Columbia, S.C., paper.
