We mentioned this a day or so ago, but Huckabee’s comment at Falwell University that God is behind his rise in the polls is now getting lots of attention. At Daily Kos; also at Mother Jones; also at the American Prospect, just to name a few. The American Prospect suggests Huckabee might be right, but that God’s handiwork just hasn’t fully played out.

Isn’t that a tad presumptuous? Or is Huckabee just saying that God is giving him a temporary bump in the polls, only to send his campaign crashing down later, in order to demonstrate to His earthly subjects the danger of hubris and the importance of early fundraising?
