Bald Knob passes

Posted By on Tue, Dec 11, 2007 at 5:48 AM

The Bald Knob School District is safe for now, its fiscal rehab plan having passed muster before the state Board of Education yesterday. Only the lonely voice of Board member Ben Mays called attention to the new gym that may have helped create the crisis. There's also the fact that the budget solution called for cutting a number of academic jobs, but not a single athletic cutback. Correction: today's account lists an assistant coach in the cuts, a job that we didn't see on our review of the cuts last week.
