The blind hog

If you haven't been able to discern, we're not much of a fan of the gee-whiz Washington Post blogger Chris Cillizza, who'll fall for a smile and an Arkansas shoeshine every time. But he may be right this once. Actually, HE's not right. But he did a reader poll on the best political reporters in the various states and felt good enough about the results to announce winners in more than 30 of them. We couldn't argue with the Arkansas pick, even if we don't always see eye to eye: John Brummett.

We'd quibble with some on the list in other states, but ...
