Asked and answered

A question was raised yesterday about whether rising House Speaker Robbie Wills had made any promises about committee chairmanships during the course of his campaign. He writes:

Thanks for the coverage of the speaker’s race in the Arkansas Blog.  To answer Cassandra’s question, I haven’t promised any committee chairmanships to anyone.  Really!  It was the centerpiece of my campaign and in my opinion a big reason why we were successful.  I’ll begin meeting with members soon about their interests and start evaluating the best fit for each position.  I plan to take my time on most of these decisions.  The good news is I have a lot of good people to choose from.
