Old times here are not forgotten

Arkansas gets national press for honoring Robert E. Lee and Martin Luther King on the same day.

That Alabama and Mississippi are in the die-hard contingent honoring a champion of civil rights with someone who fought to break up the union tells you all you need to know about the fiction -- advanced interminably  by the DOG -- that the Lee observance is simply about Marse Robert's nobility.

When they say it's not about the Civil War, it's about the Civil War. Someday, even the diehards will recognize that the South won't rise again. Or else they'll just die.
