Jonesboro shooter on trial

Posted By on Tue, Jan 29, 2008 at 5:50 AM

I understand the very real concerns about the Jonesboro school shooter arrested in Fayetteville last year. But this sure looks like a trumped up federal charge to put him back in jail. How many times have U.S. attorneys in Arkanas prosecuted someone found in simultaneous possesson of a handgun and a small amount of marijuana? The number at risk is substantial, I'd guess.

I've always been leery of people who dislike animals. To my wife and me, a house without dog hair in the corners and a cat perched on the windowsill is as barren as a highway rest stop. We're down to three dogs and two cats, the smallest menagerie we've had for years.
