Up against the wall

Watching the Westminster Dog Show? I am, though I've already had my annual disappointment over the failure of the bulldog or French bulldog to win the non-sporting group. Judges' perpetual bias towards poodles is worse than current media bias for Barack. The bulldog entry, a massive male with legs as sturdy as telephone poles, was a runnerup in the group. Scant consolation.

But I see I'm in famous company as a Frenchie fancier. That's Patty Hearst, formerly of the Symbionese Liberation Army, whose dog was the top female in her breed. Right on!
