Sexy teacher, Day II

Posted By on Thu, Feb 21, 2008 at 7:07 AM

The Morning News seizes the moment, leading its website with vast details from court filings in the case of Melissa Monroe, the 32-year-old Bentonville school teacher charged with having sex with an 18-year-old student. You'd have thought, by now, that everybody in Arkansas would have known how nutty it is to text with people of the opposite sex who are not your spouse.

According to the affidavit, Monroe sent a text message to a fellow teacher at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 that read, "Help! I've made the worst decision of my life. And I don't know what to do." Monroe said that January night she was drinking and texting with a student. She said the student wanted to come over but she told him no. Eventually, he came over and they had sex three times.
