Gunplay at Ark. Tech

Posted By on Tue, Mar 11, 2008 at 11:47 AM

Arkansas Tech President Robert Brown spent a lot of time and personal capital recently worrying about the firing of a glorified cap pistol during the production of a student play.

It would appear he ought to give a bit more concern to REAL gunfire by "student-athletes" at Tech. The Courier in Russellville is reporting today on the arrest of three men, including two football players, for pumping 30 rounds into a car near a city park. The article includes assorted other incidents of thuggery involving athletes and a university administration not particularly forthcoming on the subject.

PLAY TICKETS: That controversial play, "Assassins," opens Friday at Tech. Call 479-968-0274 for tickets.
