Home sales down

Posted By on Tue, Apr 8, 2008 at 12:19 PM

The Arkansas Realtors Association announced today that home sales are down 13 percent in February. Read about Arkansas Business' report here. A press release from ARA spokesman Ethan Nobles says there's a silver lining: In areas where prices are down, it's a buyers' market.

What's encouraging here is that a number of areas appear to be either improving or running close to last year's sales figures. The downward pressure on prices in most markets translates into some good deals for buyers, particularly when attractive interest rates are considered.
