Washington Post political blog issues a scorecard on pluses and minuses from Obama's remarks to a small group of San Francisco supporters about the bitterness of some voters. The Post's regular coverage is here.

I guess you can call me an elitist. I wasn't particularly put off by Obama's now-controversial message (except to the extent that his words could be construed as applying to all, rather than just some voters who might oppose him). But Politico is just one of many political websites where writers (including several long friendly to Obama) think this is a critical moment for his campaign. And here, too. Over at Talking Points Memo, the usual suspects are attempting to turn the controversy against Hillary for her full-bore effort to capitalize. Some of them apparently haven't noticed that the Republican Party are happily capitalizing as well.
