The Huck PAC

Posted By on Wed, Apr 16, 2008 at 6:05 AM

Stephens Media's Aaron Sadler did a lengthy report on Mike Huckabee's new PAC, aimed at giving him operating money as he explores future political possibilities. I liked this observation from a Republican politico:

Shirley said the decision to name the PAC after himself may signal a Huckabee-centered focus that could turn off conservative givers. Reagan's PAC was named Citizens for the Republic.

It's at least honest. What is this but a Huckabee-centered PAC?

And, ouch. Jonathan Martin at Politico delivers a little dig at The Huckster's profession that this is about helping other Repub candidates.

Huck forget to mention anything about getting John McCain elected, but there is a nod to the nominee over on the "mission" page.
